Cloudera and PUE promote the training of Big Data professionals in Spain
Cloudera, world leader in Big Data solutions, and PUE, Cloudera Gold partner, join together to reduce the gap of expert professionals in Big Data in Spain.
Thanks to the collaboration between Cloudera and PUE with the Spanish Government and the Employment Departments of several Autonomous Communities, successful employability projects have been designed for the training of new qualified professionals in the different specialties of the Big Data field (Administrators, Developers, Data Analyst and Data Scientist).
PUE and Cloudera collaborate with the Spanish Government to cover the knowledge gap on Big Data technologies and provide organizations with the certified professionals they need.
Data has always been a vital aspect for organizations. Now, how to interpret them? And most importantly, how to take advantage of them and of all the potential that Big Data provides? It is in this scenario where there is the need to have expert professionals capable of implementing technological solutions and improving the competitiveness and growth of their organizations.
In addition to being the reference in Spain in the implementation of Big Data projects with Cloudera technology, PUE also promotes employability projects.
As indicated by Javier Domínguez, PUE’s CEO, in an interview on Aragón Radio, “one of our objectives is to help companies to hire qualified talent and, also, to recycle the talent they already have”. A purpose that today makes even more sense considering that “right now the incorporation of well-trained and qualified talent is what hinders the growth of our companies as far as technology is concerned”.
Outstanding work of the Center for Advanced Technologies (CTA) of Zaragoza as an ICT employment engine in Aragon
Within the different employability projects promoted by PUE in Spain to fill the technological knowledge gap in profiles highly demanded by the labor market, we highlight the collaboration with the Center for Advanced Technologies (CTA) of Zaragoza.
For 18 years ago this Public Institution, which belongs to the Department of Economy, Industry and Employment of the Government of Aragon, has promoted a training program and official certification in ICT for professionals, active or unemployed, with the aim of qualifying them in the most demanding technologies.
The objective is to ensure that companies in the region of Aragon have expert staff to help them implement the technological solutions they need to remain competitive.
Qualifying profiles with great demand in the digital economy, the CTA trains more than 2,500 students who register annually in their official ICT training courses.
The commitment that the CTA made 6 years ago for the training and certification of students in Big Data technologies betting on the world leader in this technology, Cloudera, is a clear example of the success of this project. In this period, 480 students were trained with 96% of job placement for students who were unemployed.
PUE, in its condition of Best Training Partner EMEA of Cloudera, had the honor of being the company selected for the delivery of the courses proposed among the different specialties demanded in this field of Big Data: Administrators, Developers, Data Analyst, Data Scientist, etc.
Sergio Guarga, student of the program, indicates: “my experience with the Cloudera formation, and the incredible PUE trainers, could not be better. By working with relational databases in transactional environments, the training was a great opportunity to discover Big Data from the hand of the market leader. ”
Ángel Pardillos, director of the Center of Advanced Technologies of Zaragoza, remarks that: “The use of Big Data technologies is a priority for public entities related to employment. Companies require specialized professionals in data analysis and inferences based on vast amounts of information. ” And, in addition, he says: “Our duty is to prepare these professionals for the labor market. In our center, every year we offer Cloudera official training managed by its Official Training Partner PUE with outstanding results in terms of employment, close to 100% of students.”
Another of the outstanding training projects for employment managed by PUE in the field of Big Data is the initiative “Digital Professionals” promoted by red.es. In 2018, 264 unemployed students were officially trained and certified in Big Data technologies with Cloudera thanks to this project: jovenestic.pue.es
